"Incredible dedication, I am awed by you brother!"
"Way to go class of Fall of 2013!"
Thanks to many of you, we have reached 88% of our $2.5 million Campus Buildout goal! Help us get the rest of the way.
Just a small donation will go a long way to helping me meet our goal for the Alzar School. When Kristin and I started this school in 2004, we knew it was only a matter of time before this vision became a reality, and we would need to expand that vision. The time is now! Our campus is full and we are ready to finish the buildout to allow us to support 40 students each semester.
Last year, I took on a Paddle for Leaders challenge and kayaked just over 62 miles in under 24 hours, and we raised just over $85,000 for the scholarships for students.
This year, the school is going bigger. And I'm going to take on an even bigger challenge.
On May 21, 2016, I will bike from the Shore Lodge in McCall to Brundage Mountain and back, then continue to pedal around Payette Lake. Then, I will transition to a kayak and paddle from Payette Lake to Cabarton Bridge, navigating the Upper North Fork of the Payette River and Cascade Reservoir. Once at Cabarton Bridge, I will lace up my running shoes and run to the top of Snowbank Mountain. Check out the course on Google Maps.
In sum, I will bike 35.9 miles + paddle 53 miles + run 12.5 miles, for 101.4 miles in total. Together, we will be a part of raising more than $250,000 for this incredible school. And when we are successful in reaching our goal, we'll expand the campus so that more great teenagers can have this transformative experience.
Would you like to join in the fun of supporting the Alzar School? Besides donating today, we have a special 6-day river trip down the Main Salmon River in July 2016. Thanks to Momentum River Expeditions (our guides for this trip), a significant portion of the trip cost benefits the school. This popular river trip was a huge success in 2015. See a video of last year's trip here:
